Workplace Giving Campaigns

Independent Workplace Giving Campaigns

Independent workplace giving campaigns are an easy and tax-effective way for employees to contribute to charities through salary deductions.

Organizations like the Histiocytosis Association receive a steady stream of donations to support research, educate the public about histio, help patients and families, and save lives. Charities like the Association also educate employees about their efforts and generate enthusiasm for their causes. They further benefit when companies decide to provide matching funds for their workplace giving campaigns.

Companies with independent workplace giving campaigns reap the benefits – enhancing their image as corporate citizens and boosting the morale of employees who take pride in their employer’s commitment to the community.

Through these campaigns, employees also benefit by:

  • Finding satisfaction in supporting life-saving and meaningful causes
  • Choosing the charitable organizations they want to support
  • Reducing their taxable income through the contribution of pre-tax dollars
  • Contributing in smaller, more manageable amounts
  • Having an easy and convenient way to support organizations

Companies with workplace giving campaigns typically ask employees once a year if they would like to pledge some of their earnings to designated charities. If your company already has a workplace giving campaign, the Association can work with you to ensure its inclusion as a designated charity. The Association can provide brochures, deliver presentations, and share any other materials and support you may need.

If your company does not have a workplace giving campaign, you can get one started by speaking with your manager and your company’s human resources department.

Please call the Histiocytosis Association at +1 856-589-6606 or email fundraising@histio.org with any questions.
