Deanna Fournier

DeannaFournierDeanna Fournier is a Certified Integrative Health Coach and Learning & Development Professional who lives and works in the greater NYC area in the Learning & Development field, training companies in the topics of sales, management/leadership, and technical skills; as well as managing her own Health Coaching Business, where she works one-on-one with clients to achieve their health and wellness goals. Deanna has worked in various medical capacities as an EMT, in Wilderness Search & Rescue, and hospital nutrition and brings over 8 years of expertise in nutrition and dietary theories, emergency medicine, coaching, and curriculum development/facilitation.

At the age of six, Deanna found the Histiocytosis Association when her mother recalled an article written by Sally & Jeff discussing their daughter Bethany’s diagnosis and treatment, which ultimately led to Deanna’s diagnosis of Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The illness primarily affected her lumbar spine and had collapsed a vertebrate, causing great difficulty walking. During her treatment, Deanna became involved with the Association, helping to manage a PenPal club that sought to connect others throughout the world who were also battling a histiocytic illness.  She has been in remission since 1995 and is thrilled to see how the Association has grown, now connecting families through so many different channels and getting so much closer to a cure.

In recent years, Deanna has continued to stay involved with the association, volunteering and assisting with fundraising, such as Histio Hike Shenandoah and All Jacked Up.  When she was asked to join the Association Board of Trustees she was honored to be able to assist, as a warrior herself, in helping the efforts of the Association, especially after having experienced their incredible support, love, and relentless efforts first hand throughout her life. Deanna is committed to bringing a tireless energy as well as her expertise in wellness and training to the Association to assist in carrying out the goals of supporting families and patients, and ultimately finding a cure.

Together we can make a difference, together we can fight, and together we can find a cure!
