2019  Research Grant Terms and Conditions

Successful Research Grant recipients will be required to: 

  1. Submit a written six-month scientific status report to the Association.  This report will be distributed solely to the Association Board of Trustees.
    1. Due dates for all reports will be provided with the funding agreement. Reports are typically due in June. Should reports not be submitted on time or an extension sought, funding will be forfeited and returned.
  2. Submit a written one-year scientific conclusion report to the Association at the completion of the one-year grant award period containing the project’s final conclusion.  This report will be distributed to the Association Board of Trustees, as well as the Histiocyte Society Scientific Committee, for review.
    1. Due dates for all reports will be provided with the funding agreement. Reports are typically due in January. Should reports not be submitted on time or an extension sought, funding will be forfeited and returned. 
  3. Submit a brief budget detailing the expenditure of grant funds.  This report will be distributed to the Association Board of Trustees, as well as the Histiocyte Society Scientific Committee, for review.
    1. Due dates for all reports will be provided with the funding agreement. Reports are typically due in January. Should reports not be submitted on time or an extension sought, funding will be forfeited and returned. 
    2. Institutions should retain all receipts for a minimum of three (3) years. In the event of an audit, any expenses in which receipts cannot be produced may require repayment of funds.
  4. Submit a written one-year layperson final report to the Association.  The layperson report will be provided online via the Association's website and digital communications. This report should include an overview of the project, along with a final conclusion. The format of the report will be sent to investigators prior to report due dates.
    1. Due dates for all reports will be provided with the funding agreement. Should reports not be submitted on time or an extension sought, funding will be forfeited and returned. 
  5. Submit a picture and biography of the primary investigator to be used on our website and in communications.

  6. Ensure all results and findings are non-confidential and report made public.

  7. Acknowledge the Histiocytosis Association’s support in any published materials and/or presentations. 

  8. Submit a copy of the published materials and/or presentations to the Association.

  9. Submit a written abstract, in the format required, for presentation at an Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte Society.  

  10. Submit a W-9 form for the institution where the research is being conducted (only applicable in the United States).

  11. Provide all requested wire transfer information for disbursement of funds (only applicable outside of the United States).
